    Fundraiser Guide

Tee Signs - Typically are sold for $100 apiece. Indian Valley will print and place the signs on the course at no chargeif adequate advance notice is given.

Tournament Naming Sponsor – Some tournaments are able to find a company who will become the main sponsor. Usually the tournament will mention this company in the name of the tournament. The major sponsor fee will usually run between one and five thousand dollars.

Cart Sponsor – Some tournaments will find a company to sponsor the carts for a fee. A small sign is placed on each cart identifying the sponsor. If desired, Indian Valley will provide the sign.

Lunch or Dinner Sponsor – Some tournaments will have a company sponsor the cost of lunch and/or dinner. A large sign is placed in the clubhouse or patio crediting the sponsor. If desired, Indian Valley will provide the sign.

Cocktail Hour Sponsor – Some tournaments will have a company sponsor the first hour of cocktails after the round is finished. A large sign is placed in the clubhouse or patio crediting the sponsor. If desired, Indian Valley will provide the sign.

Wine Sponsor – Some tournaments will have a company sponsor the cost of the wine if dinner is served. A large sign is placed in the clubhouse or patio crediting the sponsor. If desired, Indian Valley will provide the sign.

Raffle – Most fundraisers will sell raffle tickets for prizes that have been donated.

Grand Prize Raffle – Some tournaments will offer a second raffle for a single large prize. Sets of golf clubs and 2-3 days vacations are popular items.

Auction/Silent Auction – Some tournaments will auction off donated items. Another auction idea is consignment merchandise; if it doesn’t sell you simply return it to the owner. Sports memorabilia is a popular choice for consignment auctions.

Mulligans – Some tournaments will allow the participants to purchase mulligans. This is usually limited to a maximum of two per play as it slows down play.

Raffle/Mulligan Package – A lot of tournaments will offer raffle tickets and mulligan for a package price. For example some will offer five raffle tickets and two mulligans for $20. This needs to be sold when the players are checking in.

Putting Contest – Some tournaments will charge an additional fee ($5 to $10) and will hold a putting contest. They will usually award the winner half of the money that was brought in from the contest.

Things to Do

Program – Some tournaments will print a program naming all the sponsors and explaining what the proceeds will be used for. The participants will be thanked in this program.

Rule Sheet – Most tournaments will print up a rule sheet explaining the game that is to be played.

Scorecards – Most tournaments prepare scorecards for the event. Indian Valley will prepare them if adequate advance notice is given.

Scoring – Most tournaments have scoreboards to show the results. Indian Valley will prepare them if adequate advance notice is given.

Closest to Hole/Long Driver – Most tournaments will offer small prizes to these winners. It creates additional fun for the tournament participants.

Tee Prizes - Most tournaments give every participant a prize when they check in. Examples of tee prizes given are balls, embroidered hats, shirts, windshirts, bag tags and/or embroidered luggage pieces. Indian Valley can help you with your tee prize needs.

Prizes – You will have a $5 per player prize fund that you can use for Pro Shop merchandise and/or gift certificates. Some tournaments will add in additional funds to award larger prizes. Occasionally, tournaments will also award trophies and/or plaques.

Notes

Generally there is no outside food and/or beverages allowed– Contact the Bar & Grill Manager (Fermin Vergara) to discuss if the tournament desires to bring in their own food and/or beverages. A fee will be charged.
